FORWARD FUEL CELL INSTALLATION – continued
ad. Install forward fuel cell engine fuel supply
breakaway valve (para 10.16).
ae. Install fuel cell (2) on pad (10) in deck (53).
Torque two bolts (63) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install two bolts (63) through rectangular
washers (64) and channel assemblies (65)
into pad (10).
(2) Torque two bolts (63) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
Use torque wrench.
(3) Perform electrical bond check on two bolts
(63) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(4) Seal heads of bolts (63). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
af. Install fuel cell (2) on pilot valve mounting pad
(66) in deck (53). Torque two bolts (67) to 60
INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Position flat washers (68) between channel
assemblies (69) and fuel cell (2).
(2) Install two bolts (67) through rectangular
washers (70) and channel assemblies (69).
(3) Install two bolts (67) into mounting pad (66).
(4) Torque two bolts (67) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
Use torque wrench.
(5) Perform electrical bond check on two bolts
(67) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(6) Seal heads of two bolts (67). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
