AFT FUEL CELL ACCESS PANEL AND ACCESS COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION continued
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of
fuel cell to swell, delaminate, and leak
if allowed to contact the fuel cell more
than 72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away
from the outside of fuel cells.
Store fuel quantity transmitter wire
harness in a location or container that
will prevent damage to harness, if har-
ness must be temporarily removed to
service fuel cell.
c. Remove aft fuel cell access panel (1).
(1) Remove fillet seal from around panel (1).
(2) Remove 56 screws (2). Remove and discard
56 packings with retainers (3).
(3) Remove 20 bolts (4). Remove and discard 20
packings with retainers (3).
d. Detach electrical connectors P943 (5) and
P264 (6) from pilot valve transmitter recep-
tacle J2 (7) and fuel transmitter receptacle J1
(8).
e. Remove nitrogen (N2) inert breakaway valve
hose (9) from valve (10).
(1) Remove hose nut (11).
f. Remove nitrogen (N2) inert outlet orifice hose
(12) from orifice union (13).
(1) Hold retaining nut (14). Remove nut (15).
