AFT FUEL CELL ACCESS PANEL AND ACCESS COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
b. Install cover (16) on fuel cell (17). Torque 20
bolts (24) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Position cover (16) over fuel cell (17).
(2) Hold receptacle J2 (7). Install retaining nut
(25). Use open end wrenches.
(3) Hold receptacle J1 (8). Install retaining nut
(26). Use open end wrench.
(4) Lockwire retaining nuts (25) and (26) togeth-
er. Use wire (item 224, App F).
(5) Aline cover (16) with mounting holes in fuel
cell (17) and holes in bracket (22) and bracket
(23).
(6) Install 20 bolts (24) and washers (19).
(7) Install three beveled washers (20) and bev-
eled washers (21) with bevel down and facing
side of bracket (22) and bracket (23).
(8) Install four bolts (18) and washers (19)
through washer (20) and washer (21) and
bracket (22) and bracket (23) into fuel cell
(17).
(9) Perform electrical bond check on four bolts
(18) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(10) Seal heads of four bolts (18). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
c. Install aft fuel cell N2 inert breakaway valve
(para 10.119).
d. Install aft fuel cell N2 inert outlet orifice (para
10.120).
