APU FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.111.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.111.5. Inspection
a. Check valve, fitting, and hose for cracks,
nicks, dents, corrosion, worn iridite coating
and damaged threads (para 10.1).
b. Check connector and receptacle for cracks,
corrosion, and broken, bent, or damaged pins
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
10.111.6. Installation
a. Install new packing (15) on fitting (6).
(1) Lubricate packing (15). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (15) on fitting (6).
b. Slide body (5) over packing (15) until body (5)
contacts fitting (6).
c. Install new packing (14) on valve (3).
(1) Lubricate packing (14). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (14) on valve (3).
d. Install valve (3) on bracket (13).
(1) Install two bolts (10) and washers (11).
(2) Install two washers (11) and nuts (12) on bolt
(10).
(3) Hold two bolts (10). Tighten nuts (12).
