LOAD BEARING MAIN ROTOR SCISSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION continued
11.16.3. Removal
CAUTION
To prevent damage to main rotor and
scissors assemblies, the load bearing
scissors must be identified and marked
prior to removal to ensure proper installa-
tion.
a. Remove one side of load bearing main rotor
scissor (1) from main rotor hub lower shoe (2).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (3).
(3) Remove nut (4) and washer (5).
(4) Remove bolt (6), washer (7), laminated wash-
er (8), bearing (9), and bushing (10).
b. Remove other side of scissor (1) from shoe
(2).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (11).
(3) Remove nut (12) and washer (13).
(4) Remove bolt (14), washer (15), laminated
washer (16), bearing (17), and bushing (18).
c. Remove scissor (1) from swashplate (19).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (20).
(3) Remove nut (21), washer (22), and retaining
washer (23).
(4) Remove scissor (1) and washer (24) from pin
(25) and swashplate (19).
