LOAD BEARING MAIN ROTOR SCISSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
e. Torque nuts (4) and (12) 170 to 200 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Torque nuts (4) and (12) to 170 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(2) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 200 INCH-POUNDS.
f. Recheck clearances measured in step d.
(1) If 0.001 to 0.003 INCH total axial play is main-
tained, install new cotter pins (3) and (11) and
go to step g.
(2) If clearance has changed, remove scissor (1)
from shoe (2) and repeat steps d. and e.
(3) Apply sealing compound around bolt heads
(6) and (14), washers (7) and (13), nuts (3)
and (14), and washers (5) and (15). Use
sealing compound (item 176, App F).
