LOAD BEARING MAIN ROTOR SCISSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
g. Install lower end of scissor assembly (1) on
swashplate (19).
(1) Install washer (24) and scissor (1) on pin (25).
(2) Install washers (23) and (22) and nut (21) on
pin (25).
h. Torque nut (21) 250 to 300 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Torque nut (21) to 250 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(2) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 300 INCH-POUNDS.
(3) Install new cotter pin (20).
(4) Apply sealing compound around washers
(22) and (23), and nut (21). Use sealing
compound (item 176, App F).
i. Inspect (QA).
j. Perform flight control system maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
