ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
NOTE
If the SPAD bracket is to be replaced,
perform step b.
b. Remove two SPAD stop bolts (6), nuts (7), and
washers (8) from bracket (1).
(1) Remove lockwire from two bolts (6) and nuts
(7).
(2) Remove two bolts (6), nuts (7), and washers
(8) from bracket (1).
11.149.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.149.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
b. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
c. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
d. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
11.149.6. Repair
a. Repair bracket (1) by replacing screw thread
inserts (9) (TM 1-1500-204-23).
