FORWARD FUEL CELL FILLER NECK INSTALLATION – continued
d. Install fuel filler neck (1) on port (14).
(1) Apply sealing compound to inside of area sur-
rounding port (14). Use sealing compound
(item 177, App F).
(2) Install neck (1) on port (14). Install 12 bolts
(20) and washers (21).
e. Install fuel cell (2) on drain valve mounting
pad (22). Torque four bolts (23) to 60 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Install four bolts (23) and washers (24).
Torque bolts (23) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(2) Perform electrical bond check on four bolts
(23) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(3) Seal heads of bolts (23). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
f. Remove plug (25) from drain valve fitting (26).
g. From ammunition bay, remove cover plate
(27) from aft access cover mounting pad (28).
(1) Remove 24 bolts (29) and washers (30).
