11.144. CPG DIRECTIONAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) REMOVAL – continued
i. Remove directional push-pull rod (32) from
SPAD (2).
(1) Remove and discard cotter pin (33).
(2) Remove nut (34).
(3) Remove bolt (35), washer (36), and bushing
(37).
j. Remove SPAD (2) from mounting bracket (38).
(1) Remove and discard cotter pin (39).
(2) Remove nut (40) and retainer (41).
(3) Remove bolt (42), washer (43), and shaft
(44).
(4) Remove SPAD (2) from bracket (38).
11.144.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.144.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
b. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
c. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
d. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
e. Check retainer for damaged threads. None al-
lowed.
