PYLON RACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - continued
j. Check rack hooks (39) and (40) for allowable
release torque.
(1) Position rack hooks (39) and (40) to HOOK-
LOCKED position (41).
(2) Position torque wrench in MANUAL RE-
LEASE fitting (42) and move hooks to
HOOK-UNLOCKED position (41). Note
torque reading at release point.
(3) Rack is operational if torque reading is less
than 120 INCH-POUNDS. Repair rack if
torque reading to open rack hooks is greater
than 120 INCH-POUNDS (para 16.5).
k. Inspect (QA).
l. Attach actuator rod end (para 16.9).
m. Perform external stores jettison maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
n. Install pylon fairing P1 (para 2.2).
